Morley-Ias Fire Alarm Systems

The MI-MCP-GB is designed to provide a manual alarm interface to the Morley-IAS ZX series intelligent multiprotocol fire alarm control panels. The units are fitted with a built-in monitoring module, which provides an interface to the detection loop. The address of the call point is simply “dialed in” using the rotary switches on the rear of the unit. The call points may be used in most environments as a convenient and quick way of raising an alarm. It is generally installed by exit doors to be operated as people leave a building. For surface mounting a M500KACGB, a matching plastic back box complete with cable terminations is used. If flush mounting is required a single gang, standard electrical knock-out box may be used in conjunction with a terminal tray for cable connection.

The Morley-IAS range of intelligent thermal detectors are used with the ZX series intelligent multi protocol fire alarm control panels to measure thermal levels caused by a fire and report the analogue level of the thermal measurement to the control panel. The use of analogue information provides significant benefits to the end user, installer and serviceman in ways which are not possible with a conventional type system. Since this detector is also addressable, it will help to quickly locate a fire during its early stages.

The DH500 duct housing is designed to sample air currents passing through a duct and allows the early detection of developing fire. The DH500 duct housing will accommodate either the intelligent ionisation sensor or the intelligent optical sensor, either of which provides continuous analogue monitoring of the unit’s sensitivity. When sufficient smoke is sensed, an alarm signal is initiated at the control panel monitoring the detector, and appropriate action can be taken to shut off fans and blowers, change over air handling systems, etc. This can prevent the rapid distribution or isolation of toxic smoke and fire gases throughout the areas served by the duct system.
